Terapad are pleased to announce the launch of a series of free Templates designed to assist various members of the scouting world to get online. As with all Terapad Templates these can be modified by the end user to produced a customised look and feel, but regardless which one in chosen everyone can benefit from Terapad’s market leading website Content Management System (CMS) completely free of charge.
Your free scouts website could be used to:
1. Organise a Scouts troop – Use the forum, blog and events calendar to arrange meetings. Secure pages allow only your own scouts to access restricted content.
2. Sell scout related merchandise from badges, clothing and scarves to camping gear and games equipment – Your free website comes with a free shop that you can use to sell anything, commission free.
3. Accept donations – Receive donations to support your troop or a good cause you are raising money for.
4. Engage an active online community – Join hundreds of other Scout troops setting up Terapad sites and monitor scouts news and events the community section.
5. Discuss scouts news and events – write news bulletins that will be sent out across the internet and link to other cycling websites.

7. Use your own domain name – its easy – just follow the instructions in the help files after you have created your free website.
This represents a major commitment to the scouting movement worldwide. All of the websites are powered by Terapad’s unique content management system which means each website is fully customizable. Personalizing your site is easy; you can upload photos of your scouts, plus you can use the web pages to attract new scouts and offer handy scouting hints or training ideas.

But it'll be quite difficult for it, to challange the pre-existing blogging giants like blogger, wordpress. Drupal has also emerged as a tough competetor. I can only with Tera a happy journey with a lot of success here in this blogging sphere.
